LUCY HUNTER JAMES

With a career spanning over twenty years, she has worked hugely successfully as both a Producer and Performer. Her work as an actress, singer and voiceover artist (under the alias Lucy Hunter James) has seen her perform on stage, screen and radio in more than 85 countries. As a Producer she is one of the most known theatrical names in the Middle East having produced over fifty West End productions.

She has been teaching privately for over 10 years, mixing this with her career as a Producer and Performer. Students have gone on to train at some of the world's finest performing centres including LAMDA, Guildhall, Mountview, Arts Educational, Laines, Central, Pace, NYCU and more. Professionals have gone on win leading roles on stage and screen, record albums, sign with leading agencies and win talent shows

Lucy is the Co-Founder and Co-Producer of 'Popular Productions Ltd' - a producer of quality theatre and entertainment. Producing Drama, Musical Theatre and concert productions, both Nationally and Internationally, Popular Productions is recognised as one of the foremost production companies in the market. She is also the Co-Founder of The West End Stage Experience a  training programme that gives upcoming talent the chance to audition for, rehearse and perform in large scale, professionally produced stage productions 

In 2018, Lucy launched West End Worldwide LLC a company which specialises in immersive entertainment but also has an exclusive theatrical agency attached to it. Highlights of the companies experience include commissioned projects for The Louvre, 'Movies in the Park' Yas Island, the VIP launch of the QE2, 'A Night at the Musicals' for Cognizant and the Insomnia Gaming Festival in Dubai and Saudi for which she provided over 12 bespoke shows and 200 performers. Most recently Lucy began filming the feature film ‘Icarus’ being shot in Dubai, she plays Kara, the powerful head of an organization.  Also in 2019,  Lucy appeared in the Volkswagen comedy commercials entitled ‘We Are Family’.  She appeared in the feature film ‘The Wedding Party 2’, released in December 2017 as Elizabeth Rosehill, the wedding planner. The film followed the filming of ‘Movers and Shakers’ a short film by Globalist Films for the short film circuit. In December 2017 Lucy produced, directed and starred in The Rat Pack Live, a special gala night for The Dubai Winter Festival. Also in 2016 she famously reprised the role of Maria in The Sound of Music at the Madinat Theatre to great acclaim. “Lucy Hunter James as Maria is nothing short of sensational” Dubai Press 2016. Lucy previously played the role at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, the BIECC Stadium as the Headline Act of the Bahrain Summer Festival and for two sold out runs at the Madinat Theatre in Dubai in 2011 where she won the award for the Best Theatrical Performance.
